The metal surfaces retain 97% original parkerized and blued finishes with some silvering on the barrel and a few small spots of oxidation staining. Serial #1079556, 30 Carbine, 18" Winchester barrel with a bright excellent bore. M1 Carbine by Winchester Purportedly belonging to UDT Lt. A very attractive late Police Positive Special overall beautifully accented by this well-thought-of New England engraver. The very front of the frame at its knuckle is neatly signed "J Adams", the gun is otherwise as-new and appears unfired since Mr Adams did the wonderful quality engraving.

The checkered walnut grips with silver Rampant Colt medallions rate excellent and they are numbered on the interior to the gun in grease pencil. Coverage on the frame is near full and he has surrounded the left-side Rampant Colt with a ring of nice swirled scroll. There is light geometric embellishment on the cylinder and open flowing scroll atop the barrel with checkerboard engraving on the sides of the front sight. The right side of the frame features an American Bald Eagle in full dive with a riband emanating from his talons which reads "Victory". John Adams has embellished the frame with loose open flowing scroll with banknote filigree and acanthus leaf borderline bordering. The metal surfaces on this very nicely embellished revolver retain about 99% excellent quality silver plate with the ejector rod, hammer, trigger and thumb latch all very nicely blued. Serial #962138, 38 Special, 5" barrel with a bright excellent bore.
